Office Waives Regulation in Filing of Claims for
        Cable and Satellite Royalties
Due to the continued disruption in the delivery
of mail, the Copyright Office of the Library of Congress is announcing
alternative methods for the filing of claims to the cable and satellite
royalty funds for the year 2001. To ensure that their claims are timely
received, claimants are encouraged to file their cable and satellite claims
electronically, utilizing the special procedures described in the Federal
        Register announcement. (read

Copyright Office Presents New Website Design
The Copyright Office Website took on a streamlined
look when the Register of Copyrights launched a new design on April 22.
The new design is the direct result of a 2001 online user survey conducted
by the Office. Enhancements included in the new design include a search
engine for the Website, a way to search Copyright Office registrations
and documents, a step-by-step guide to registration arranged by category
of work, and a navigational bar with tabs that makes using the site easier
and faster. See the new design at www.copyright.gov
