Section 111

Copyright Office Requests Comments and Notices of Intention to Participate in Distribution of 1999 Cable Royalty Funds

The Copyright Office of the Library of Congress directs all claimants to royalty fees collected under the section 111 cable statutory license in 1999 to submit comments on the existence and extent of Phase I and Phase II controversies as to the distribution of these fees. The Office also directs each party with an interest in participating in this distribution proceeding to file a Notice of Intention to Participate. In addition, any party who files a timely Notice of Intention may submit comments on the Phase I claimant's motion for a partial distribution of the 1999 cable royalty fees. Comments and Notices of Intention to Participate are due on October 16, 2001. (read details)
