Subscribe to NewsNet

NewsNet is is the Copyright Office’s free electronic mailing list. NewsNet issues periodic email messages that alert subscribers to hearings, deadlines for comments, new and proposed regulations, new publications, and other copyright-related subjects of interest. A complete archive of NewsNet messages is available at www.copyright.gov⁄newsnet.

Subscribers may sign up for three topics of information. They are:

• “What’s New at the Copyright Office,” which alerts subscribers to general copyright-related news and changes to the Office website

• “Licensing,” which provides updates on regulations and procedures for compulsory and statutory licenses

• “Legislative Developments,” which informs readers about copyright-related bills introduced in Congress or enacted into law

Subscribers may indicate preferences regarding delivery of their messages, including frequency of delivery. They may also suspend delivery until a set date and receive messages through a personalized RSS feed.

NewsNet is not an interactive discussion group.

To subscribe: Go to the Copyright Office website at www.copyright.gov. Click on “Email updates” to choose subscription offerings from the Library of Congress, including the Copyright Office. You will receive a standard welcoming message indicating that your subscription to NewsNet has been accepted.
